The Bold Lab Cafe, Kelantan

I have to quickly update this entry or else I will be super damn outdated liao haha xD

Kelantan is currently upgrading into something like a mini mixture of old and modern state.
With all the new cafe coming into the town, we are definitely watching Kelantan grows and making improvement..
I would say that it's a good things, but I believe some locals (especially the old ones) are still trying to get use with it.
However, this is the place where you find lots of kids and teenager wondering around.
ME INCLUDED! xD

Introduce you to the new cafe,
The BOLD Lab

Located near to D' Klasik restaurant in Jalan Hospital.
Read till the end for more detail of the location and other stuff.

Me and Roomie was very excited when we decided to walk in the cafe.
It was like a brand new thing to try out.
Frankly, since both of us are not locals,
we have been craving for something new for such a long time
And we finally have it :)

The Bold Lab / TBL is a new novelty cafe/ restaurant that based on the lab theme.
In here, you can see quite a few decoration that match the theme.
Like the flower vase that made from the flasks,
the spatula for the chocolate dip,
and the mini beaker for caramel syrup.

Kinda remind me of Chemistry Cafe + Lab in Shah Alam.
p/s: Tried that cafe but it didn't give me any good experience so I didn't review it.
This one is definitely a better choice, but only you'll need to travel up here to try it out :D

Surrounding is pretty, and decent.
Compare to Chemistry Cafe+Lab, the decoration was a bit run out of theme but in a more comfy way.
Plus, the Charity Wall is full with painting that was fully funded by local artist and photographers.
If you like it very much, you can even approaches to the staff to find out more about the artist of even procure one for  yourself! :)

Love their shirt!
#suchthingforsuchcoffeeholic!

The flower vase that made from flask.

Free drinking water to grab.

The spatulas that use for chocolate dip in their Signature Hot Chocolate.

All right, the menus.

One thing that caught my eyes and made us LOL was this:

It says, that if a pasta is cooked properly, it should stick to a wall when it is thrown
(Please do not try this in our cafe, TQ)

All Right, time for shoot! :D
Beloved Roomie up on my blog hahaha! :D

Cappucino!
It was as good as the one at Arnold Cycling Cafe.
Only that Arnold's barista is better in doing latte art.

Roomie's Banana Pancake.
Very delicious!
Kinda remind me of the pancake served at Love & Latte in Penang.
The pancake is not too sweet.
Each of them was nicely cooked and was so spongy that you can feel in your mouth! xD
However, the caramel was a little too thick according to my roomie.
It kinda ruin the whole video I made cause she was expecting a liquid-y form that spread themselves around the surface LOL.

Here's the video:

Do you get what I mean? :D

The capuccino and the pancake.

TBL's Signature Hot Chocolate.
My roomie isn't a milk person but she drinks it all and say she loves it! :D
The dark chocolate is not too sweet, and the milk is in a good saturation and temperature that melt with the chocolate.
Plus, the milk taste was not too strong so if you the type of person that are scared of the milky smell, you can try this instead :)
And,
If you like the chocolate itself you can even buy it at the price of RM 8.90 alone :)
(picture taken from tripadvisor since I forgot to take the photo)

My favourite thing is the ice-cream strawberry waffle!
The waffle may look overcooked, but I can assure you it's not!
It's cruncky on the outside, and soft on the inside!
The strawberry was not sweet, that it made the whole combination with ice-cream a PERFECT dessert!
It's a MUST TRY!

Other than that, you can find other dessert and foods at the menus and counter.
They mainly sell dessert like cakes and waffle,
but they have also spaghetti that only serve after 12pm.

Overall, I would say that beside Arnold's, this cafe is my huge satisfactions in my whole study life in Kelantan haha!
I wouldn't mind to go back and try out their other food and beverage.
If you are a huge fans for a high-class cafe with a good surrounding and good coffee,
definitely give them a shot! ;)

All right,
Time to eat!
Chiao! :D

LOMBOK Part 3 - Places and Foods!

Hello there!
it's a brand new episode of my Lombok tour.
This time I have a really colourful series of cictures to share with you guys.
And yes again, it's all about places you can go and food you can eat during the vacation.
<Part 1> and <Part 2> are up on blog so if you haven't read them, make sure to check 'em out! ;)

First of all,

It's the Sasak village I went.
Nothing much about the place but it's essential if you are interested in the Sasak lifestyle.

Took a picture of these kids at the village.
The boy was intentionally licking the stone while I snap the picture :D

Besides that, we were brought to the textile shop.
I was lucky to learn a lil bit about the making of Sutera pattern. :)
fyi, sewing is one of the must of the women of Sasak in order to get married.
So it's very important for the women in Lombok to master the skill.

The Sasak custom dress if I am not mistaken.

Some beautiful handmade craft work for sale.

Next,
We were brought to the beautiful beach
called Tanjung Ann beach.
We skipped Kuta beach since it was almost the same according to the tour guide Pak Edi.

DAIYYYUUUMM

One thing special about Tanjung Ann Beach is the pepper-like sand.
It was so big and round that it looks like pepper! :)

We then went up the small cliff to took some tremendous pictures you'll see below :D

That's how beautiful Tanjung Ann beach is.
SERIOUSLY

All right,
next stop is an extra station added.
Pak Edi suggested us to go to one of the beautiful place that was not listed on the package.
It is called
Batu Payung (the Umbrella Stone)
It's named since it's so big like an umbrella.

I can tell you that the place is really hot.
but you will totally bare with it looking at how pretty this place is :D

All right,
this is one of the best recommended food in Lombok.

Called "Ayam Taliwang"
(Taliwang chicken)
It's not spicy, but a lil salty.
Best serve with rice (y)

Babi Guling Lombok.
Different from the one serve in Bali,
but this is pretty good too :)

All right!
That's all for this entry!
You can sleep on the beach :D
